Second Grade
At REDS we believe in "Can Do Kids", so we start at an early age helping them develop independence while learning how to follow a simple routine.
Second grade students will be introduced to cursive writing, as well as beginning to learn multiplication and division concepts. There will be a focus on writing skills and paragraph development.
Students will be exploring the Earth's systems, understanding their impacts and identifying simple ways each and every one of them can make a difference.
We will discover some of countries' change makers that have made significant contributions to our society.
Above all, students will learn to ask questions, apply reason to their problem solving, and think critically about their learning.
The Second Grade program meets 8:30-3:00 Monday through Friday.
Preference is given to those children who turn 7 by September 30 of the year enrolled.
